How to care for Kimono

Our garment labels conform to current UK standards.
All Kimono are authentically made by experienced, skilled craftspeople in Japan.
All garments are suitable for adult wear only and NOT SUITABLE FOR WEAR FOR CHILDREN.
Care must be taken to keep garments away from naked flame/fire or extreme heat sources.

We recommend that rings are removed before handling embroidered garments to avoid snagging the embroidery.


For Cotton and Polyester/Print:
Machine wash using a delicate programme. We recommend using washing liquids designed for delicate fabrics. Biological products are not suitable for Kimono.

For Polyester/Embroidery:
Hand wash/Drip dry. We recommend using washing liquids designed for delicate fabrics. Biological products are not suitable for Kimono.

For Silk:
Dry clean only
