How to fold Kimono

Fig 1:
Place Kimono flat on floor, front “openings” overlapped (closed) to form a “T” shape.
Step 1, Kimono laying flat on the floor with front overlapped		 Fig 2:
Fold back front “openings” to remain within the “T” shape.

Step 2, front of kimono folded back mainting T shape		 Fig 3:
Fold in half vertically.


Step 3, kimono folded in half vertically
Fig 4:
‘Fold in’ Kimono sleeve to form a rectangle.
Step 4, kimono sleeve folded in to form rectangle		 Fig 5:
‘Fold back’ edge of sleeve within the rectangle.
Step 5, edge of kimono sleeve within the rectangle folded back.

Fold in half horizontally by bringing the bottom edge upwards to meet the top edge.
